Man I thought Twilight was kind of lame but a bestseller YA novel called "Hush Hush" tops it, and you want to know why? Because it apparently teaches readers that being massively stalked and semi raped by an attractive guy constitutes love. I know right?! I am so furious!=(

Hmmm I have finally finished my degree and am now awaiting to fly back to Sydney for my graduation ceremony. It seems kind of strange  being back here in singapore while my friends are still in sydney...I guess that I do kind of miss them. On the other hand, I saw a great film on my SIA (Singapore Airlines) flight to Tokyo... it is called  " The lady shogun and her 300 men". It is based on a manga called Ooku that is set in the tokagawa era whereby a strange disease ravanges the young male population, causing the roles of men and women to be reversed. It is absolutely fascinating.

Sanctuary, a show about a group that protects abnormals or rather non-humans from Society and studies them seems like a rather typical Science fiction show that seems to delve into similar veins akin to Supernatural or any others. However, the main difference is in the cast of characters. While there is the requisite human sidekick, the rest of them are not humans. The leader, Dr Helen Magnus is an intelligent woman who has lived for 150+ years and the sanctuary is a carry on project from her father. Her daughter, Ashely, the blonde babe is trying to deal with the fact that her father was an unsavory character aka Jack the Ripper. As for the tech boy,Henry, he seems to be transforming into a werewolf due to some event. All this history just scratches the surface of other complicated facts that are linked to the formation of the sanctuary and Helen's background.

I instantly fell in love with the show upon viewing one episode. In fact, the main reason, would be that while it treats the audience as grown-ups, it is also mainstream enough so that your brain does not fizz out while watching it.

Oh my freaking gosh! I do not normally squeal but while browsing on livejournal, I came across this webpage; http://www.thehubproductions.com/events/true-blood-2010/home

I clicked on it and lo behold, the author and some cast members of  true blood are coming to Sydney in September 2010! Whatmore their coming is in the week before I get my one week break during the 2nd Semester! Alright! The tickets are expensive though, a 100 bucks for the thing. It is even more expensive than the eminence concert ( a video games and japanese animation music concert) which was awesome and totally wicked as well. I plan on ordering the CD sometime within the year. They even charge for autographs and photographs with the cast members. * Grumble* But it is true blood! I hope I can go. I would totally drool if the actor playing Eric came...he is so hot! =)

Argh!  University is killing me at the moment as I have too much on my plate at the moment.
 I have the following: 2 projects, 1 essay and the need to pay my summer school unit and the handing up of my hostel reapplication. (all within the week)

Sigh...

I had two really weird dreams within this semester;

1) The first one involved environmental protection, a giant green monster trampling within a city, rainy weather, flying fishes and episonage. I was even involved in it as a agent of some sort and everything was so vivid...

2) I was holding someone's baby, and the baby puked all over me...

Ha ha, I am not sure why my dreams are so weird, maybe too much sugar?

I just read an article in Marie Claire Australia about a couple's battle with breast cancer. What really touched me was the brutal honesty and sincerity of the husband in regards to losing his wife not to death, but perhaps to the pressure of battling the cancer. This was due to the fact that some couples spilt up after going through such a challenge together. I mean I am not some mushy person, in fact romantic lines can sometimes make me gag or roll my eyes. But, one line that he said was sweet and it is, " we were a couple under siege, but we were still a couple." Somehow, it struck a chord within me.

Maybe I am getting sentimental...

I am taking a module called "Organisational Communications" but am utterly frustrated by it. I mean communcations is not the most excting thing out there but the teacher is quite bad which makes it worst. She just reads from her notes, makes us engage in pointless exercises which do nothing and treats us like children by taking our attendance for lectures. I am not the only one who thinks she is not a good teacher as many people are quite disgruntled with her.

Oh my, I cannot believe that it's been almost a year since I updated livejournal.Hmm, I must be getting old. So many things have happened, I am almost within the end line of my degree programme and have seen good dramas like the Tudors. But I believe mostly that I have changed quite a bit within the past year and more.

1) I have a facebook account. Lol.
2)  I am now more courageous in making friends on talking. I think so..
3) My taste in Manga has changed considerably, I cannot believe that I am reading a manga about wine now.
